13-16 year-old Champions: Rebels
The Rebels, led by coach Richard Gill, recently won the Coweta County Recreation Department’s 13-16 year old volleyball championship.  Team members include: Anna Bettis,
Grace Katherine James, Kendall Morgan, Brenna Schexnayder, M.K. SMith, Riley Spradlin, Tymberly Walker and Emma Watts.

year-old Champions:

The Mustangs, led by coach Mike Colvin, recently won the Coweta County Recreation Department’s 11-12 year old volleyball championship.  Team members include Ana Colvin, Emma Eckhoff, Summer Lane, Kaitlyn Pope, Kelsey Smith, Lucy Tilson, Olivia Walden, Zakiya Weaver and Laura Wilson.

The Thunder, led by coach David Murdock, recently were named as the Coweta County Recreation Department’s 11-12 year old volleyball runner-up.  Team members include Alexa Davis, Mariah Holt, Hannah Hunter, Jessica Kennington, Main Laio, Sarah Meacham, Robin Rice and Graison Stanley.

Ravens win 9-10 year-old league title

The Ravens, led by head coach Rick Gemmel, recently won the Coweta County Recreation Department’s 9-10 year old championship for the 2017 season. Team members include Isiah Alford, Augustus Anderson, Zyon Arnold, Chance Davis, Zadarious Dorsey, Jaden Dutton, Jake Hannah, Brody Harmon, Derrious Hinton, Tuff Hudson, Noah Knowles, Joshua Knowles, Hayes Maginnis, Jojo Mosley, Tyshun Saunders, Michael Smith, Micah Wright and Levaun Williams. 
Saints win 7-8 year-old league title

The Saints, led by head coach Adrian Moss, recently won the Coweta County Recreation Department’s 7-8 year old championship for the 2017 season. Players include Kameron Ackols, Cooper Boone, Kason Copeland, Bennett Croyle, Raja Dunbar, Colton Gasaway, Jackson Gilmore, Jalin Hardaway, Kwasi Hawthorne, Jayden Knox, Ashton Lawless, Tegan McCaw, O'Ryan Moss, Bryse Pfauth, Bernardo Stallings, Beau Story, Quinten Webb and Tyler Williams. 
Nickel & Dime wins Mens Adult Fall Flag 
Football League Championship

Nickel & Dime won  the 2017 Men’s Adult Fall Flag Football League championship.

Coweta Recreation youth football teams raise over $6,000 for breast cancer awareness 

The Coweta County Recreation Department hosted its annual Breast Cancer Awareness games on Saturday Oct. 14, at The Hunter Complex for its 7-8 and 9-10-year-old youth football leagues.  The Pink Posse serves those affected by the disease in Coweta and Fayette counties during their cancer treatment.  In all, the recreation department collected over $6,300 from its teams, with the top team in each division getting the opportunity to wear and keep the special pink jerseys during the game.  During the event, each coach is provided with a pink shirt and players wear pink wristbands while playing on a pink lined field.  This year the 7-8 Broncos (below) and the 9-10 Colts (above)  raised the most in their respective leagues. The Colts, coached by Mark Smith, raised $2,015. Team members include: J.R. Reeves, Nathan Scales, Scottie Wainwright, Drake Allen, Jorden Barber, Cristian Campos, Kaeson Chandler, Toby Coe, Coleman Connell, Cole Gilmore, Jackson Graetz, Landon Nation, Samuel Ray, Silas Stover, Lucas Walker, Ben Wesson and Jayden Wilder. 
The 7-8 year old Broncos, coached by Pat Lyons, had the privilege to wear and keep the pink jerseys for the Coweta County Recreation Department’s Breast Cancer Awareness games raising $1,500.  Team members include: Brayden Dutton, Demarcus Glenn, Noah Graetz, Zachary Grooms, Albert McCound, Gabriel McNeal, Will O'Neal, Connor Pair, Killian Prince, Thomas Ramey, James Reasor, Andrews Sepulveda, Keondre Smith, Kaleb Stewart, Jake Walden and Caleb Hill.
